Financial Aid

The Canmore Minor Hockey Association will provide financial aid for those families that want their children to play hockey, but are unable to do so financially. All potential recipients must first apply to the Alberta Chapter of KidSport who will fund players up to a maximum of $500. A link to their application form can be found by clicking here. Procedure:
1. Print off and complete KidSport Application
2. Register your child with the Canmore Minor Hockey Association (in-person or on-line). If applying on-line, please select the "cheque-payment" option.
3. Contact the Registrar of the CMHA to mention that your child wishes to play hockey and you are applying to KidSport. The Registrar will need to complete a section of the KidSport Application form and will make note on the CMHA Registration Form that a KidSport subsidy has been applied for.
4. KidSport will contact you directly of your status a few weeks after your submission. If your application has been approved, please notify the CMHA Registrar and your child will be formally enrolled in the program. At this time, you can make arrangments with the CMHA Registrar to pay the remainder of your child's fees, if any. If you application has not been approved and you wish to withdraw your child from the CMHA Program, please notify the CMHA Registrar and your child's Registration will be withdrawn without penalty.
