Buying Equipment:
Equipment can be new or used! Just make sure it's in good condition.
- Sports stores (Sports Experts, Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Pro Hockey Life, Source for Sports etc)
- Consignment Stores such a Sports Garage
- Used via Facebook Marketplace, CMHA Gear Swap Facebook Group or from friends!
Hockey equipment can be expensive, and there is often a temptation to buy gear that is too large so your child can “grow into it.” However, properly fitted equipment is essential for both safety and success on the ice.
For more information on how to properly fit hockey equipment visit a reputable sports store. Several fit videos can be found on the Hockey Canada website here: Hockey Canada Fit Guide
