Canmore Minor Hockey Association: 2025-2026 Tournament Season

Expression of Interest (EOI):

Teams interested in participating must complete an EOI to be considered.

EOIs will be reviewed in order of tournament date, and invitations will be issued accordingly.
Teams not initially selected will be notified and placed on a waitlist.
Tournament fees and payment instructions will be provided with invitations.
Information on partnered hotels will be shared with confirmed teams only.

Important Notes:

EOIs will be open until all invited teams have been registered and paid. The website and form will be updated at that time.
Age groups and tiers are determined through CMHA evaluations, and invitations will prioritize teams that align with the tiers of our host teams
We will have raffle prizes, a large 50/50 draw, swag, medals, Heart & Hustle and MVP awards, and lobby games
Our hotel partners will provide specific booking codes that will be shared only with teams that have completed payment and registration.Please do not contact Canmore hotels and ask for group blocks without first securing your place within the tournament.

The purpose of the Canmore Minor Hockey Association (CMHA), in partnership with its members, is to promote the game of hockey through skill development, quality leadership, and understanding of teamwork and good sportsmanship, in an atmosphere of fun and positivity for all children.

By enlisting the best volunteer-based coaches and support staff available in the Canmore region, it is the goal of the CMHA to foster personal excellence in each child, regardless of their skill level, and to increase individual self-esteem and dignity of all participants. All members of the CMHA pledge to incorporate a Safety-First approach into all aspects of the game of hockey.

Did you know that Canmore sits on the traditional territory of the Iyarhe Nakoda, also known as the Stoney Nakoda Nation?

The Iyarhe Nakoda, meaning "mountain people", have called the Bow Valley home for generations. They are made up of three First Nations: Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney. Their deep connection to the land, water, and wildlife continues to guide how this region is cared for today.

The traditional Nakoda name for the Canmore area is "Chuwapchipchiyan Kudi Bi", which means "shooting at the willows".

As we gather to play the sport we love, we take a moment to recognize and respect the stories, traditions, and people who have always been here. Itâ€™s one small way we honour the spirit of community, respect, and reconciliation.
